University United Methodist Church joined the Wesley Foundation in ministry shortly after World War II with the growth of the surrounding College Park neighborhood. Under the exceptional leadership of Thaxton Springfield and Bob Fannin a generation later, both the church and student center saw tremendous growth. The change in university culture and the demographics of the neighborhoods around the campus have led to new horizons in ministry at the church. Today, the congregation of UUMC joins in weekly worship and annual fellowship events with the Wesley Foundation. They also have enriching Christian Education programs and community building events.
If you would like more information on UUMC and how you can get involed, email Pastor David Fuquay at dave@gatorwesley.com or our office manager Pam at pam@gatorwesley.com.

University UMC worships with the Wesley Foundation every Sunday morning. For a complete schedule and description of regular Sunday services, please visit our worship page. We also have many special services throughout the Christian year, including Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday. For details on these services, please visit our calendar.
Christian Education
Former Pastor/Director of the Wesley Foundation, Rev. Bill Yeager, leads a current events based Bible Study known as the Wired Word on Sunday mornings at 11am in the Wesley House (map). Each week, the group takes a major news story from the past week and examines it from a theological and Biblical point of view. As each lesson is based on the week's news, you will never be behind, so all are invited to come. Pastor Bill also leads a DISCIPLE Bible Study on the book of Romans on Wednesday nights. For more information including time and location, please email Pam at pam@gatorwesley.com.
